Brownsville Texas Art

It is an inspiring exhibition that brings together talented and creative artists from around the world, but is easily overlooked amid the chaos of the mural market. This exhibition highlights the space between the two worlds and emphasizes the bilingual aesthetics of artists whose identities and artistic practices are shaped by the border region between South Texas and Northern Mexico. It is the largest art exhibition of its kind in the United States and receives a total of 3,300 prizes each year.

One of Foncerrada's sons, Luis, is the founder and executive director of the nonprofit that promotes local artists and is a driving force behind the growth of local art in the city of Brownsville, Texas.
